CANCELED - I am sick and will not be able to hold this meeting.

May 1, 2010 - Fat Boy Poker Run

Registration is now open online at Active.com and on our Website. Early registration is only $12. If you register the day of the event the cost will be $20. Please register early and help spread the word. We are thinking about offering a prize to the one who refers the most people to the event.

Last year we had over 100 riders and we were able to donate over $2,000 to Dilworth Middle School. The goal this May is to have 200 plus riders and to raise $3,000 for the school.

This was a great ride! It was well organized, had friendly riders, and a relaxed ride for a great donation. I can't wait for this year's ride to be even bigger!

Last year my parents rode. They made the trek from Alaska and are ready to make a special trip down just for this ride!

A great ride to do with your friends!

I would like to ask for some help and it will only take a minute.

If you participated in the Poker Run last year could you please go to Fat Boy Biking Poker Run Reviews and put in a review of the event. I think if people read some reviews that it will help persuade them to join us this May. I know this is a local event but last year we had eight people from out of state join us on our Poker Run.

Nothing new here.

There are a few of us going to this event. This is an awesome biking adventure. Rides range from 65 to 100 miles in the hills to 15 to 60 miles on the flat land. Early Registration is suggested and that is not a joke. Last year I was stupid enough to wait till the day of the event and they would not let me register because the event was full. I still rode the race but if I had problem or wanted some refreshments - I was on my own.

What makes this such an adventure? Last year registration was full which is unbelievable when you consider that they had 3,500 registered riders and I know of at least one who biked it on his own.

3,500 people on a bike in one area, all starting within two hours of each other was a great sight.

If you are interested in car pooling let me know. Some of us are looking at driving down the morning of and staying there Sunday night. Some of us are looking at going down the day before and coming back after the race. Right now we have five going. Maybe more!
