Are You Biking To Work? FatBoyz ContentFat Boy Sunday Bike Ride April 11th
Sunday April 11th - 7 AMOur group was smaller yesterday but we had three new people. Rick and I were there along with Travis, Kaycee, and Laura. It was a lot warmer than last week. Nice ride out to Mayberry Park.I had to change the date to Sunday because I am helping with the Bike Rodeo at the Nuggett on Saturday. So On Sunday - April 11th we will go do the Verdi Loop (around 24 miles with some hills). This is a little more difficult. I think we will take it nice and easy because we can. I would like to go out to Verdi the following Saturday at a faster pace to get ready for Chico. Of course this comes from a man that does not ride that fast. So the main difference would be the 11th I would like us not to get too spread out so the beginners do not fall too far behind. Then on the 17th let everyone go at their own pace - I hope this makes sense. Places to Eat and DrinkEstablishments that are participating are:Oski's Pub and Grille: This is where it all starts and of course we will finish here too. Great atmosphere, prices are very reasonable, and on Saturday they have $5 Cheeseburger specials. Registration will be run by myself and others. Jan will be selling raffle tickets while Jeff might ride or he will be in charge of the Poker Cards. Get your card before you leave on the run. Rail City Ale House. The stop before you get on the river or on your way back to O'Skis. The best Fries in town. We will be set up on the Patio outside the Ale House - It faces Kietzke. Go to the farthest parking lot - right before Kietzke. Peter really took care of us last year and I am sure he will have something going on this time around too. Meagan and a player to be named later will be handing out the cards. Amendment 21 Grill & Sports Bar: One of the stops in Reno. One of my favorite places to go before a Wolf Pack game. Mike always has something going on and the food is awesome! Martha and Melody will be handing out the cards for us. Bertha Miranda's Mexican Restaurant and Cantina:. This is our new stop this year. The best Mexican food in the area. Love the Nachos. Cold Modello on tap. Amanda and a player to be named later will be handing out the cards for us on the front patio. Imperial Bar and Lounge: Great location near the river. I am too old but from what I hear this place rocks at night - I go to bed at 9 pm. I like it because of the location and it is really a great set-up inside. Huge TV's - Pool Tables and the best thin crust Pizza you will ever have. Too many beers on tap to list. Some great pictures were taken here last year that did not make the web pages.

Rick and his family are going down Saturday. Not sure when Barb and her crew are going. I think we all are staying at the Heritage Inn. Should be fun. Some are riding the flat 30 or 60 miler and some are riding the 65 hill. Not sure if anyone is going to tackle the 100 hill. The Paradise Hill is a 1,900 feet climb. Yikes, I might be hurting!
