No Ride this WeekRunning the next two weekends. Besides if I pick a day it will probably be snowing with wind gust of 30 mph. It has been tough riding. I have gotten my fat --- on the bike every day this month. My goal is to bike every day to work.
Fallen Poker Ride (37 Miles)I think at least three of us going. Personally I am going to take it nice easy - I think I will be still in recovery mode from the weekend before. If you are interested in Car Pooling let me know. If you go wear your Poker Run shirts from us - cross advertisement. Danny Gleich runs this event along with Churchhill Bike crew and they do a great job. They have come to our event and supported our causes! Fatty won the big raffle prize last year - I took home a butter dish (my wife likes it) - Block Head won something - probably better than my butter dish. 2010 Bicycle Poker Run 37 Mile Road Bike Tour The ride will start and end at the Churchill County Fairgrounds. Ride around our 37-mile route collecting your cards. The best hand at the end of the day when everyone arrives will win a fabulous cash prize. After the ride, awards and prizes will be given out at the Multi-Purpose Building located at the Fairgrounds on Reno Highway, where a delicious meal will be served for all the riders to enjoy, hosted by the Fallon Fraternal Order of Eagles. A portion of race proceeds will be used to benefit the Domestic Violence Intervention organization as well as the Nevada Cancer Society. All riders start at the Churchill County Fairgrounds located at 325 Sheckler Road, with check-in & departure begining at 8am and ending at 9am.
Reno-Tahoe OdysseyThis is next weekend. Main reason I am not riding the next two weeks. Think I will be ready. Feet have been hurting so I backed off running everyday. Bought some New Balance Shoes 10.5 4E - I am a short wide person. Cost almost put me in the poor house. |
