New this year will be the stop at the Freight House. We have have 8 people registered but many more verbally saying they will be there. I need your help in spreading the word. I just put up the posters for the event yesterday, big thanks to David for making the new posters - they are awesome.You can preregister through the mail. If you are in the school district you can send it through school mail: Dilworth Middle School ATTN: Leo Mendelsohn Next week I will send out dates for Preregistration at O'Skis, so you will have multiple opportunities to to preregister. May 21st Fat Boy Poker RunTwo Courses to Choose From:Traditional 10 Mile $20.00 or the Extended 40 Mile Course $30.00 Fat Boy Biking T-Shirt for each entry Register Right Now on Fat Boy Biking Hold Harmless Agreement It is your choice on which ride you want to participate in. You only pay one entry fee, either $20 or $30, depending on which one you want to ride in. Day of Registration will cost $5 more for each ride. For the 10 and 40 Mile Poker Run we will start at O'Skis on Victorian Ave - downtown Sparks. The bikers will ride along the Truckee River to downtown Reno and after picking up all their cards head back along the river to O'Skis for the end of the Poker Run. There is no certain order that you have to go in. 10 Mile Traditional Poker Run: Day of the race registration will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Riders can start at 11 am and everyone must be on the road by noon am. 40 Mile Extended Poker Run: Day of the race registration will be from 8:00 am to 8:45 am. Reno Bike Project will be running the Verdi loop for us this September. The plan is if you want to ride the 40 mile course you will be leaving from O'Skis (with your first card) then head out to Verdi. The long ride will be fully supported with a SWAG Wagon/Truck. So if you run into troubles we will get you back into Reno. Reno Bike Project will have some of their volunteers riding with you. Basically a fast group, middle group and a group in the back. If you want to ride on your own then you will be on your own until you get back into Reno. Drawings and High Hand winner will be announced at 4:30 pm in front of O'Skis Bar. This will be the 4th Poker Run sponsored by Fat Boy Biking. Last year we were able to donate over $5,000. To see where how the money is disbursed CLICK HERE. You must be 21 years of age to enter. If under 21 you can enter day of the event for $10 but you must be accompanied by a paying parent/guardian. Poker Run StopsWe will still start and stop at O'Skis Pub and Grille.Stops along the route include: Rail City Ale House Bertha Miranda's Freight House Imperial Bar West Street Market - Reno Bike Project will be hosting an event here. They will also be handing out cards - more info to follow. As we get closer we will list the drink and food specials for the each place.
