Reno Odyssey

What is the Reno Tahoe Odyssey? A relay run ideally suited for teams of 12 runners on a 178 mile course. Starting in Downtown Reno along the Truckee River. Traveling through the Sierra Nevada mountains and along the shores of Lake Tahoe. Circling back through the Northern Nevada high desert to where you began in Reno.

If you have ever thought of participating in the this event - You have to go for it. I do not consider myself a typical runner but decided to do this event with other staff members of Dilworth Middle School.

It was an experience that I will never forget. I plan to do this again next year. My average mile time for a four mile run is 44 minutes. I have still never ran more than five miles at a time. So you do not have to be this marathon runner to participate in this event. Of course I had the easiest leg(s) but it is set up that way to get everyone involved.

Thanks to my team for the support this past year. I look forward to running again next year!
